Vardis Kandiros

I am a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Data Science Institute at Columbia University, where I am working under the guidance of Professor Christopher Harshaw. I obtained my PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, where I was fortunate to be advised by Professor Costis Daskalakis. Previously, I obtained a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Technical University of Athens, where I wrote my diploma thesis under the thoughtful supervision of Professor Dimitris Fotakis.

My research interests are in Machine Learning Theory, Theoretical Computer Science and Causal Inference, as well as their intersections with High Dimensional Probability and Statistics. In particular, I seek to develop Algorithms and Methods that operate using network/dependent data.

I am on the academic job market looking for Tenure Track positions starting fall 2027.
